More work on the ornaments tonight, drop finials for 4, another birdhouse ornament (ficus/walnut) and I started to work on the display (lower right hand corner). I plan to drill a number of small holes in the base that will accept wires that will be used to hang the ornaments. The base is Elm and didn't weigh as much as I had hoped so I drilled a number of holes into the base and then glued in some spare steel nuts I had on hand. I think this makes the base heavy enough that it will be stable, if not I can add more fairly easily.
