I've done this style of box before but it's been about a year. I think I have a show lined up in 2 weeks and want to have a couple of these complete. I wanted to have some done for Saturday's show but never quite found the time to get them done.
The finial is just a sample, I don't know what wood I'm going to use for the finial and for the pedestal that the whole piece will rest on. The body and lid are Maple Burl, the temporary finial is East Indian Rosewood. No finish yet.
